Gutter cleaning in Doncaster

I cover Doncaster for gutter cleaning and the leaks that come with it. It is about nine miles from my base in Mexborough, and gutters, blocked or leaking, are most of what people there book me for. Every price is given after I have seen the house.

Has someone told you the guttering needs replacing?

Get it looked at again first. In February 2022 a Doncaster customer asked me about cracked, leaking guttering. The gutter itself was in good condition. It was full of moss and debris that had stopped it draining, so I cleaned it out that day rather than replace it.

In July 2023 it was a leak at the front of another house in the town. I found a way to fix the leak without fitting new guttering. A drip or a crack on its own tells you very little. Whether the run and its joints are still sound is what decides it, and that is the first thing I check.

How a job usually goes

  1. You tell me what you have seen

Send a photo on WhatsApp or ring 07515 154559. One customer in 2022 heard back quickly and had me out to look the following day.

  2. I look, then price it

The figure comes from the house in front of me, never a guess made over the phone.

  3. Small jobs, sometimes done there and then

A leaking gutter at the back of a 1979 terrace was mended on the same visit it was priced. For a failed joint in 2024 I went and collected the part and fitted it.

  4. Bigger ones booked in

A leaking run in September 2025 was quoted one week and repaired the next. The customer could not be around, so I explained what I had done and showed them the pictures.

What comes out during gutter cleaning in Doncaster?

Moss, leaves and silt, mostly, and now and then something that was never meant to be up there. In April 2024 a gutter clean got a shuttlecock back down for a customer's son.

I clear gutters with a high-reach vacuum on a pole, worked from the ground, so there is no ladder resting on your fascia and nobody on the tiles. What comes out normally goes away with me, although one townhouse in 2022 kept the pile for their compost bin. How the vacuum works, and why I prefer it, is on the gutter clearing page. If the problem is a split joint or a downpipe rather than a blockage, that is gutter repairs.

Is one dripping joint worth calling someone out for?

A lot of my Doncaster work is that size. A replacement gutter joint in August 2024. A downpipe repair in April 2025. A blocked downpipe cleared in 2022, and in June 2024 a gutter that was blocked and leaking at the same time, unblocked and repaired. None of those needed a new system, and none was too small to come out for.

A small job also puts me close enough to spot what else is going on. On that downpipe in 2025 I found a second, separate fault while I was working on the pipe and fixed that as well, and the customer has booked me for more work since.

Before a clean, and after a reseal

  • A gutter packed with dark soil under the edge of a row of solar panels on a brick house
Soil deep enough to grow in, under solar panels.
  • A freshly sealed imprinted concrete drive, dark and glossy, taped off in front of brick houses
An imprinted concrete drive just resealed, taped off to dry.

Round here

January 2024, Doncaster: booked as a gutter clear and fascia check. The gutters were done along with some roof tile work, fitted in between spells of stormy weather, and the customer had before and after pictures of all of it.

He did exactly what he said he would, when he said he would.

Why can I not get a price over the phone?

Because two jobs that sound the same on a call rarely are. Cleaning out a full run and replacing a single joint are different work, and a gutter at the front I can reach from the pavement is not the same as one round the back of a terrace. Doncaster is inside my twenty miles, so nothing is added for getting there. You have the figure before I start, and should the job prove smaller once I am up there, the price comes down with it.

Worth asking

My townhouse is three storeys. Can you reach the gutters?

Yes. The vacuum pole reaches three storeys from the ground, so a townhouse gets cleared from the ground like any other house. Townhouse gutters are a job I have done here before.

Do you clear conservatory gutters as well as the house ones?

Yes. I cleared a conservatory gutter in the town back in 2021. If the house gutters need doing too, both can be done on one visit.

Can you reseal a patterned concrete drive?

Yes. I resealed a patterned concrete drive in Doncaster in September 2022. It is washed first, then sealed.

Will you check the fascia boards while you are at the gutters?

If you ask, yes. I have repaired fascia boards in Doncaster as well as clearing gutters. The boards sit right behind the gutter, so it is the easiest time to look.

Where else near Doncaster do you go?

Conisbrough and Denaby Main sit between Mexborough and Doncaster, and Armthorpe, Thorne and Bawtry are all inside my twenty miles as well. The rest of the list is on the areas page. Away from gutters, I also do fascias and soffits, driveways and patios and conservatory roofs.

Want it priced?

WhatsApp a picture of the gutter to 07515 154559, ring the same number, or fill in the quote form. My hours are 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. Coming out to price it is free and there is no call-out fee. If a clean-out is all it needs, that is all I will quote you for.
