Gutters, roofs, drives and conservatories, cleaned and repaired across South Yorkshire.
Gutter clearing
Every gutter fills eventually. Leaves, moss off the roof, grit off the tiles, and then soil, and then things growing in it. When it overflows it runs down the wall instead of into the drain, and that's when it starts costing money.
- What's involved
- High reach vacuum from the ground for most houses, checked along the whole run, downpipes cleared, and the debris taken away.
- When you need it
- Water sheeting over the front edge in heavy rain, a green stripe down the render, or plants growing out of the gutter.
Gutter repairs
Clearing doesn't fix a gutter that's already failed. Joints split, brackets rot, sections sag until the water sits in the middle instead of running to the outlet.
- What's involved
- Joints resealed or replaced, brackets renewed, runs realigned to fall properly, downpipes and outlets replaced where they've gone.
- When you need it
- Dripping at one spot in every shower, standing water in the gutter after the rain stops, or a downpipe that gurgles and backs up.
Roof cleaning
Moss holds water against the tiles and drops into the gutters every autumn. Scrape and brush takes it off without blasting the surface off the tile.
- What's involved
- Moss scraped and brushed off, roof worked in sections, then the gutters cleared of everything that came down with it.
- When you need it
- Thick growth along the tile laps, moss in the gutters every year, or a roof that's gone dark and patchy.
Roof and chimney repairs
Once you're up there, the small things are obvious. A slipped slate, a cracked tile, flashing lifting away from the stack, mortar gone from the ridge.
- What's involved
- Slipped and broken slates refixed with tingles or replaced, tiles swapped, lead flashing renewed, chimney brickwork repointed.
- When you need it
- A damp patch on an upstairs ceiling, tiles visibly out of line from the ground, or bits of mortar in the gutter.
Fascias and soffits
The board behind the gutter takes everything the gutter spills. Once it goes soft, the gutter has nothing solid to hang on.
- What's involved
- Repairs where the timber is sound, replacement where it isn't, and the gutter rehung properly afterwards.
- When you need it
- Paint flaking off the board, soft or dark timber under the gutter, or a gutter pulling away from the wall.
Driveways and patios
Block paving and imprinted concrete both fade and green over. Most of the colour is still there under the dirt.
- What's involved
- Washed down, weeds and growth taken out of the joints, then painted and resealed where that's what it needs.
- When you need it
- Green film after a wet spell, joints full of growth, or a drive that's gone flat grey.
Conservatory roofs
Conservatory roofs sit right under the main gutter, so they collect everything that comes off the roof and everything that overflows.
- What's involved
- Panels and glazing bars cleaned, gutters and box gutters cleared, and leaks tracked to where the water is actually getting in.
- When you need it
- Green panels, a drip inside after heavy rain, or a conservatory gutter you can't see into.

There's no fixed price because the same service is a different job at different houses. The height, what's actually wrong, whether I can get round the back and how far it's been left all move the number. I look first, then I price it, and the quote is free.
