What do people here ring me about most?
My Rotherham reviews on MyBuilder go back to 2021, and reading down the job titles the pattern is plain. Some are gutters that want emptying. More of them are a joint that has come apart, a downpipe that has worked loose from the outlet, a length bent out of line, or a leak that turns up every time it rains.
That is worth knowing before you ring anyone, because the two are different jobs. A full gutter needs clearing. A split elbow or a perished seal needs fixing, and emptying the run around it will not stop the drip. I tell you which one yours is once I have seen it.
Does gutter cleaning in Rotherham mean you need to be home?
No. One customer had me round to look and quote while nobody was in, then booked a downpipe repair and a full gutter clean on the back of it. I also flagged something else on that house that would need doing later, and what it would take.
The clearing is done with a high-reach vacuum from the ground, which gets to three storeys, so nothing is leaned on your fascia boards and nobody walks across your tiles. Downpipes get cleared too and the muck leaves with me. Because you might be at work, the before and after photographs are how you see the job was done. The full method is on the gutter clearing page, and if yours is broken rather than blocked, read gutter repairs instead.
What changes the price on a job here?
Rotherham is well inside the twenty miles I cover, so the distance adds nothing. What does move the figure is working out which job you have. A clear, a repair, or a roof fault showing itself at the gutter are three different amounts of work, and a photo cannot always tell them apart.
After that it comes down to the house itself: how high the gutters sit, how easy it is to get round the back, and how long it has been since anyone cleared them. I give you the number once I have looked, and if there is less wrong than it seemed, the bill is smaller.
Can you do a drive or a roof while you are here?
Yes. A few of my Rotherham jobs have been drives. One in September 2024 was cleaned, re-sanded and sealed. The oil stains mostly lifted, the worst came out completely, and what was left is barely visible under the seal. The weather turned partway through, so I came back to finish it and kept the customer posted in between. The details are on driveway and patio cleaning.
Slipped tiles and a loose verge count as roof repairs, covered on roof and chimney repairs. Moss on the roof is scraped and brushed off, never pressure washed, which is explained on roof cleaning.
Are you just outside Rotherham?
Rawmarsh, Wickersley and Maltby are all on my patch, as is the stretch back towards Mexborough through Swinton. Every town I cover is listed on the areas page.
What happens when you get in touch?
Ring or WhatsApp 07515 154559, Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm, or use the quote form. Tell me roughly where you are and what you have noticed. I come out, have a look and give you a figure, which costs you nothing, with no call-out fee on top. If all it wants is one bracket refixing, you will hear that from me.
