Yes, I do gutter cleaning in Sheffield. It is about thirteen miles from my base in Mexborough, and no town has given me more reviews on MyBuilder. Most of those jobs are gutters: cleared out, fastened back or stopped from leaking, with the cleaning done from the ground by vacuum.
How does gutter cleaning in Sheffield work without a ladder?
The vacuum does the reaching. Its hose runs up a long pole from where I stand on your path or drive, the nozzle goes into the gutter, and the moss, leaves and silt are drawn down into the drum instead of being scooped out by hand at the top of a ladder. Nothing leans on your fascia and nobody climbs on to the roof.
A Sheffield customer in 2022 mentioned the camera attached to the machine, which lets me see into the gutter from down on the ground. The downpipes get cleared while the kit is out. The gutter clearing page goes through the kit in more detail.

Do you still come out when the gutters are frozen?
I come out, and if they are frozen solid, I come back. In December 2023 I went to clean three gutters on a semi and found them frozen. I tried, but forcing it was not sensible, so I returned on a warmer day and finished the job.
In January 2025 it was a blocked gutter leaking during a spell of snow and ice, when it was not safe to do the full job. I got the water out for the time being, then went back, sorted the problem, and did something else the customer had asked for. Winter work is always weather permitting.
What if part of the gutter has come loose while you are there?
Then it can usually be sorted on the same visit. In February 2025 a job booked purely as a gutter clean turned up a section that had come undone. I put it back and showed the customer photos of what I had done.
Plenty of my Sheffield work is that kind of small repair. A loose run fastened back in July 2023. The guttering on the side of a garage reattached in July 2024. A joint on a plastic gutter repaired in September 2022, and a leaking joint resealed in April 2023, where I talked the customer through the work as it went. Several customers here have booked me again for other work.
Will you tell me if it needs less than I think?
Yes, and in Sheffield it has happened more than once. In May 2024 a customer whose drainpipe had been damaged by children expected to replace the full length. The pipe was repairable, so I quoted for the repair, and fixed another drain problem at the same time. In February 2025, on a downpipe repair, I talked a customer out of a few extras they did not need.
A gutter repair in February 2026 was solved with an alternative fix. And when a length does need replacing, it can be a short one: 2.5 metres of guttering on one house in November 2025. The general picture on what can be repaired is on gutter repairs.

Can you do my neighbour's gutters on the same trip?+
Yes, if they want them done. In 2022 one customer had theirs and the neighbours' cleaned out together. Ask them first, then mention it when you get in touch.
I live in a terrace. Can you do the back gutter as well as the front?+
Yes. In December 2025 I cleaned both the front and back gutters on a terrace here, fixed a small leak, and found a fix for a gutter that had gone out of line.
Do you replace downpipes on bungalows?+
Yes. Fitting a downpipe on a bungalow and cleaning its gutters was one job in September 2026, and a downpipe replacement with a gutter clean was another in July 2024.
Can conservatory gutters that have come down be put back up?+
Yes. Reinstalling the gutters on a conservatory was a job of mine in January 2024. The roof panels themselves are a separate job, covered under conservatory roofs.
Do you clean drives and patios in Sheffield too?+
I do. A front drive and patio in 2024, a driveway in 2022, and old concrete slabs on a patio and drive earlier that year. Drives and patios are washed, whereas a roof is never pressure washed.
Is Sheffield inside the area you cover?
Yes. At around thirteen miles it is well within the twenty I work to, so nothing is added for the journey, and the price comes down to the job itself, the height, the access and how long it has been left.
