Gutter cleaning in Wombwell

Getting someone to quote is the easy part. Getting them back on the day they promised is harder. I do gutter cleaning in Wombwell from Mexborough, about five miles along the Dearne Valley, and the day I give you is the day I come.

Will he actually turn up?

It is a fair thing to wonder. Plenty of people have a story about a trade who came round, promised a day and was never seen again. A gutter clean is a small job, and small jobs are easy to drop when something bigger comes in.

I work on my own, so there is no office to pass you to and nobody else to send. The day I give you is in the diary because I put it there. When the weather has other ideas

Some days the job cannot be done properly. Gutters that are frozen solid will not vacuum out, and I have gone back on a milder day before now sooner than force it. If your day has to move, you hear it from me, along with a new one.

How soon can gutter cleaning in Wombwell be booked?

Sooner than you might think. First I come and see the house, which costs you nothing, and you get a price. Once you say yes, most jobs are done within a week or so, weather allowing. I work weekdays, 8am until 6pm.

You do not have to book a day off for it. Everything happens outside: the gutters and downpipes are emptied by vacuum, with the pole worked from your path or lawn, and nothing is propped against the house. How that works is on the gutter clearing page.

Is there a call-out charge for Wombwell?

Is the price you quote the price I pay?

Yes, with one exception in your favour: if it turns out to be less work than it looked, you pay less. If I come across something extra, I tell you about it before doing anything and you choose.

The price is built from four things I can only judge by looking: how tall the house is, how awkward the back is to get at, whether it is a clean on its own or a clean with something to mend, and how long it has all been sitting there. That is why I look first and price second.

Is it only gutter cleaning you come out for?

No. If the gutter is leaking and not just full, that is a gutter repair. I also do roof and chimney repairs, roof cleaning and drives and patios, all booked the same way. If you are not sure when gutters are due, I have written up how often they need cleaning.
