Gutter cleaning in Mexborough

Mexborough is home. It is where Revive DGC is based, so a gutter cleaning job here is the shortest trip I make all week. Most of what I do in the town is gutters: clearing them, fixing the joints that leak, and putting back the bits that have come away.

Why ring someone from Mexborough for your gutters?

Because the person who comes to look lives down the road. There is no call-out fee anywhere I work, but being local still matters in other ways. Popping over to look at a gutter before I quote is easy. Coming back if something is not right is easy. And if you want to know what I am like to deal with, the people I have done jobs for in the town are your neighbours.

It also means no gutter cleaning job in Mexborough is too small to be worth the trip. A single leaking joint, a downpipe that has dropped off, one run on a bungalow that needs clearing: I do them.

However small the job, I photograph the gutter before I start and again once I have finished, and you get both, in or out. It is the part of the job that the January 2025 customer below picked out, and it means you can see the inside of a gutter you would otherwise have to take on trust.

What Mexborough people have booked me for

  • Dislodged guttering fixed and checked. January 2022. The first of my Mexborough reviews on MyBuilder.
  • A leaking gutter repaired. November 2023.
  • The house guttering cleared. December 2023. The customer says I also explained what they could do to stop it clogging again.
  • Gutter cleaning, with photos of the clean gutters sent afterwards. January 2025.
  • A rainwater downpipe replaced and the guttering above it cleared. June 2025.

Gutter cleaning in Mexborough, or a repair?

Of those five jobs, two were straight clears and three involved a repair, and people are not always sure which one they have. A gutter that overflows along its length in heavy rain is usually full. Water dripping at one point in every shower, or a length that has dropped, is a repair, and clearing alone will not stop it.

You do not have to work it out before you ring. When I come to look, I tell you which it is. A clear is done standing on the ground, the vacuum pole doing the reaching, so nothing leans on your gutter. If it is a repair, I say what has gone and quote for that, not for a whole new run. More on each on the gutter clearing and gutter repairs pages.

Downpipes count too

A downpipe that has cracked, come loose or blocked is part of the same job. The June 2025 job here was a new rainwater pipe with the gutter above it cleared on the same booking, which is the sensible way round: there is little point fitting a new pipe under a gutter that is still full.

Round here

Posted on MyBuilder as a rainwater downpipe to replace and the guttering above it to clear out. June 2025.

Came on the day he said he would, sent photos of gutters all cleaned.

What decides the price on a Mexborough job?

Not the travel. What moves it is the property. How high the gutters are, because a bungalow is quicker than a three storey house. Whether I can get round the back without going through the house. What the job turns out to be once I have looked. And how long since it was last done, because a gutter that has been left for years takes longer to clear than one that was done last autumn.

I look before I give you a figure, the quote is free, and if the job turns out smaller than it looked from the pavement, the price comes down with it.

Mexborough questions

Is it cheaper because you are based in Mexborough?

No, and it is not dearer anywhere else either. Nobody inside the twenty miles I cover pays for my travel, so a job in Mexborough is priced on the same things as one in Barnsley: height, access, what it is and how long it has been left.

Do you work weekends?

No. I work Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. You do not need to be home for a gutter job, though, so people often book a weekday while they are at work and get the photos afterwards.

I rent the house out. Can I book it for my tenants?

Yes. Everything happens outside, so the tenant does not need to let me in, and the before and after photos go to whoever booked the job. That way you can see the work was done without a trip over.

Do you cover the towns around Mexborough?

Yes, all of them. Swinton, Denaby Main, Conisbrough, Wath upon Dearne and Bolton upon Dearne are all a few minutes away, and I go well beyond them, out to about twenty miles. There are pages for Rotherham, Barnsley and Sheffield, and every town I go to is listed on the areas I cover page.

Gutters are most of my Mexborough work, but not all of what I do. Roofs, drives and fascias are covered on the roof cleaning and driveways and patios pages, with job photos on my work.

Getting it looked at

Send me a photo of the gutter on WhatsApp to 07515 154559, or ring the same number, Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm. Being in Mexborough, coming out to see it is no trouble, and it costs you nothing either way.

Gutters, roof or drive in Mexborough?

Tell me what is going on and I will come and look at it.
